Commit to a better ride

Commit to a better ride

At Coh&Co we don't just build bicycles, we ride them. Every single day. We ride to work, we cycle into town when running errands and doing the grocery shopping, we cycle to pick up the kids at nursery, we cycle when we go out for a beer with our friends and, naturally, we cycle just for the fun of it.

Riding a bike is a lifestyle, and in a city like Copenhagen it is a necessity if you want to go anywhere fast and easy. It is, however, also so much of a given, that often we forget that we could make so much more of it. Make it fun, make it beautiful, make it better!

At Coh&Co we like to ride in style. We do, however, realize that we live in a part of the world where the sun does not shine every day, no matter how much we dream about it. So we have spent quite a bit of time searching for something functional, yet stylish to wear when the weather gets ugly. We did the search, we had to design a bit ourselves too - and so we have put together a collection of weather proof clothing and head wear that we believe makes all the difference in your every day cycling life. We call it Coh&Co Threads. It is, as with everything we do, a commitment to ourselves to aim for a better ride. Life is too short to miss the opportunities that we are given, and riding a bike is one of the more joyful ones. As we talked about in the stage 1 brief, cycling is often reduced to numbers. The second stage of the Transpyr 2017 backroads brought us back to the human element. Here is the story from a 7 day randonnee across the back bones of the Pyrenees on a wooden bike.

Transpyr Backroads - the adventure begins
Transpyr Backroads - the adventure begins

Bicycle racing is often about statistics and numbers, and all though the Transpyr is not really as much of a competition as it is a sporting adventure; it is a challenge. As in life, the race can be long and hard and it is often against ones self. Sergio and the rest of the Transpyr peloton struggled with heat and steep climbs and no matter what the numbers are, completing this first stage was a great triumph in and of itself.
